Oleg's sport activities

  • Oleg Sannikov has been a devoted karate practitioner for over 30 years. He currently holds a 4th dan (4th level black belt) in Hayashi-ha Shitoryukai Karate-do (a traditional Japanese karate style) and is proficient in traditional Japanese weapons (bo and sai) of Kenshinryukai style. 

Oleg is a member of the NSW State Karate Team since 2012 to present.

At the Australian Open Karate Championships of 2016 he won Gold in kata (technique) in the 45+ age division. Also in 2016, he won a Gold medal in kobudo (weapons) at the Hayashi-ha Karate and Kobudo Asian-Pacific Championships hosted in Sri-Lanka.
